It's a book about a billionaire father who builds a shelter in the case of a nuclear winter for his family. It's written from the perspective of his teenage son and is very fascinating. There are some disturbing themes, but it is a young adult book and would still be rated PG.
I just read this book. I thought it was good. Such an intriguing story. I would, however, have liked more plot and character development. I felt like things happened too quickly and the book came to and end before I really had time to get to know everyone. A few more pages and a little more time with the family and I think it would have been a great book. Thanks for the recommendation, Melanie!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this book but agree it could have had more character development. It was a quick read but pretty interesting to think about how things would be if you were stuck with your family underground trying to survive.
